SÃO PAULO – UBATUBA – BY CAR

Exiting Sao Paulo, keep on the Rodovia dos Trabalhadores and Carvalho or Dutra until the exit towards Litoral Norte. Stay on the road named Rodovia dos Tamoios, until you reach the town Caraguatatuba, where you should take Rio Santos BR-101 towards Ubatuba – Paraty – Rio de Janeiro.

After about 35 km you will reach Praia do Lázaro, you will see a small foodstore with its name “Supermercado Lazaro” written in big letters above the entrance, and signs towards “Praia do Lazaro” at this same exit. There you will take a right, keep on the same road towards the beach, and the third road on the right will be “Rua Amoreira” and this is where Tribo Hostel is located.

SÃO PAULO – UBATUBA – BY BUS

There are two bus-companies offering tickets to Ubatuba from the main bussstation Tiete in Sao Paulo, Litoranea or Reunidas. Tickets are sold on the bus station, however it could be a good idea to call ahead of time and ask about the timetables.

If you are ariving from Sao Paulo, ask the driver to let you of at Mercado Lazaro, walk down the road, away from the highway, and stay on the same road until you see the white Hi Hostels sign, pointing you to the right. About 50 meters from the sign you will find Tribo Hostel on your left side.

What they say about us

Excelente hostel. Excellent hostel! Very polite and receptive employees. The place has a great breakfast meal and all the rooms are very clean and organized. Details: Sununga beach which is found right next to the hostel is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve visited in Ubatuba.
